Immediately After
A prickly or spiky sensation is completely normal as the spicules naturally expel over 24-48 hours. You may notice redness, warmth or mild puffiness, this is your skin's natural activation process. Avoid cleansing for at least 12 hours, skip makeup, and sleep on a clean pillowcase.
The Following Days
The prickly sensation may continue up to 48 hours. Avoid rubbing or touching the skin, use pressing or patting motions instead. Avoid heat (hot showers, saunas, exercise), swimming, and direct sun exposure. Apply SPF as directed.
Days 1-5
Mild to moderate flaking or shedding is normal and varies from person to person. Apply soothing, hydrating products as prescribed by your skin expert. Avoid picking, scrubbing, and active ingredients like retinoids, AHAs, BHAs and benzoyl peroxide.
Day 6+
Your skin is re-energised and renewed. A gentle at-home exfoliation followed by a hydrating mask can help reveal a smoother, refreshed complexion, or as advised by your skin expert.
